November 28, 2011 - Monday - 00:41 - Sacred Heart

Today, together with 9 of my Ageless Warrior friends, we will take on a historic and epic journey from Sacred Heart Kamuning to Sagada in Mountain Province and back which is approximately 800 kms in 8 days. This is a ride that a few would dare to undertake and considering our age, Mang Bay at 69 years old and the rest at a relatively senior age this seem to be a daunting task. We will prove however once again after doing the Manila to Baguio last year that age is not a hindrance in doing seemingly impossible tasks. Please pray for us!!

Team Ageless Warriors - Heads to Baler~!

Just last May 20-21, 2011, Team Ageless Warriors takes on the challenge to another height. Taking on the challenge in savoring the beauty of Baler.

But before we could taste the refreshing breeze of Baler's beautiful scenery and beaches. We'll have to take on first rainforests, mountains and brave the weather... from Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija past Maria Aurora, Aurora, through San Luis and down to Baler.

But before we share our conquest... her is a little teaser for you all. A little something from us all.

The terrain was harsh... but never did we backed-out.

When there's a chance, we told our better halves,
loved ones, and those who cared... we're fine.
Thinking of you, and then this is for you.

We rode, but never did we left anyone behind.

We braved rivers, yet we never faltered...

We braved the heavy rain; yet we just kept pedaling...

We stood and sticked together, laughing...

Despite the fatigue, we arrived in Baler with smiles...
of course the fact that we needed to tell our loved ones, we're safe~!

And after all that, a much deserved relaxation and unwinding is a must. Beer is optional~!

With big bellies or tough abs... it never bothered. Cause we're Ageless!

TEAM AGELESS WARRIORS: Conquers Cabanatuan-Baler!~!
With 6 Ageless Riders, 2 Ageless Documentary Personnel, 3 guests from Cabanatuan, and 3 Support Personnel... this ride was possible... even with tight and/or cancelled scheds, and limited visas... and impromptu planning.

Of course,
it doesn't end there,
 for this is just a teaser.
A teaser of a ride with great lengths;
A true overnight epic.

This is a story of us... no... our story~!
===================================
And for a little teaser, while waiting for the photos and videos to be posted, here is a little something for everyone. A downslope run from the Aurora Arch @ Maria Aurora, Aurora and ends at Villa Aurora.

November 26 - Inspiration to go further

We left Capas with smiles, and an inspiration to bring with us on this journey.

Our fore-fathers, walked a 100kms under the scorching heat during the Deathmarch. We shall do the same, but on our bicycles and an even greater mileage... but with one other thing to inspire us... Bike Lanes Now.

Now hungry... and stomachs growling fast... we pedaled through the noon sun. But since I was at the middle of the pack I was unaware where the lead will bring us... next on the list would be Luisita, Tarlac... Chowking! Jollibee! Max!

Nakow! Tigil-kabayo! Wait! Wait!

Hindi kami tumigil sa Plaza Luisita... we passed it a few 500 meters away. And stopped at this odd looking carinderia along the road. Na maraming sasakyan ang nakaparada sa labas.

The Place was called Victor's and they served the best tasting Roasted Chicken I ever tasted. Maslalo na yung mouthwatering spicy sisig nila. And for 21 people we only paid 100 per person. Ang mura pare!

128.69km. was the total distance traveled at this point.

It was recharge time for everyone...

kahit si pacer/lead, Dan... kailangan din ng much needed rest... hindi lahat ng mamaw ay mamaw. Tao rin sila~

Our magnificent waitress, Ara... she can stack up to 8 plates of rice. 4 on each arm.

by 1:30pm we left Luisita and headed to what's in store for us @ Paniqui
